end·plate

, end-plate (end'plāt),
The ending of a motor nerve fiber in relation to a skeletal muscle fiber.

end·plate

, end-plate (end'plāt)
The ending of a motor nerve fiber in relation to a skeletal muscle fiber.

end-plate,

n the terminal fibers of the motor nerves to the voluntary muscles. The nerve endings lose their myelin sheaths as they enter the sheaths of striated muscle fibers, at which point they ramify across the muscle fiber like the roots of a tree.
end-plate, motor,
n the end-plate by which impulses from nerves are transmitted to the muscle fibers. It is a modification of the sarcolemma and is continuous with it. The end-plate potential generated by the nerve impulse activates the muscle impulse.

end-plate

a flattened discoid expansion at the neuromuscular junction, where a myelinated motor nerve fiber joins a skeletal muscle fiber.

end-plate potential
created by acetylcholine causing depolarization of the muscle cell membrane.
