A national nurse-led UK initiative that aims to offer any individual nearing the end of life, regardless of his/her diagnosis, choice and access to high quality end-of-life care based in Strategic Health Authorities—where End of Life Care for Cancer Individuals principles can extend to other disease groups by widening the pool of staff trained in palliative care.
