While not denying the pernicious downsides of economic investment bubbles, Gross ("Moneybox" columnist for Slate) suggest that the "sackcloth-and-ashes approach misses part of the story. Romney said the plan would "help middle class folks save for retirement, for homes, for anything they like _ and to stimulate economic investment and growth. By the time scarcity alone focuses economic investment on ecosystem services, we may not have sufficient natural capital resources available in the quantities and quality demanded, and we may not be able to create enough either. |
