STATE OF THE HEART MACHINE: Along with Senior Nursing Officer Elsie Fraser, sponsored slimmer Rachel Whatley is pictured watching Sister Marie Harbron operate the echocardiograph machine at Stockton's North Tees General Hospital in September 1982.
Over the last year, the BHF has invested in life-saving equipment, including 40 defibrillators, echocardiograph machines and ultrasound machines in North Wales.
Another short-range goal is to buy equipment for evaluating the health of young athletes, which we will need for the Sports Medical Foundation, such as for taking the echocardiograph.
