(eb'ing-hows),
a psychological test in which the patient is asked to complete certain sentences from which several words have been deleted.

Ebbinghaus test

An obsolete term for a psychological test in which a subject is to fill in the missing parts of a picture, phrase or other object that under normal circumstances would be known to that person.
