Extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS)
A group of side effects associated with antipsychotic medications. EPS include parkinsonism, akathisia, dystonia, and tardive dyskinesia.

electrophysiologic study (EPS),
an invasive electrodiagnostic or manometric procedure that uses electrode catheters to pace the heart and potentially induce arrhythmias. The test identifies defects in the heart conduction system and arrhythmias that are otherwise inapparent. It also is used to assess the effectiveness of antiarrhythmic drugs.
