Pediatrics A short outcomes-based test that measures an infant's expressive, receptive, and visual language abilities; in the ET, the parents are questioned about certain components of the infant's speech, and the infant is asked to carry out certain simple tasks; serial ELM testing can be used to monitor response to various interventions intended to improve communication.
