E2F6

A gene on chromosome 2p25.1 that encodes a member of the E2F family of DNA-binding transcription factors, which play a key role in regulating the cell cycle and tumour suppressor proteins. E2F6 lacks transactivation and tumour suppressor protein association domains; it has a modular suppression domain and inhibits E2F-dependent transcription.
