Ecofeminism surely provides an important counterweight to the deeply anti-human and dualistic theory known as deep ecology, often articulated as the philosophical foundation of the contemporary environmental movement.
Clearly there was a time in the past when the dualistic theory could withstand criticism, but this is no longer the case for the simple reason that what we now know to be true of persons quite forcefully rules out the possibility of their disembodiment.
