drum circle,
n a spiritual, communal, or therapeutic music experience in which participants join together in a circle with drums, move, dance using various percussion instruments, voices, and other devices. These circles are used to reduce stress, anxiety and blood pressure, to in-crease immune system function, and to create a sense of community.

This dynamic, powerful and unique experience of group drumming was brought to the Middle East when Julie-Anne Odell, managing director of Jupiter Eclipse Limited, stumbled upon community drum circles as a result of her passion for holistic healing.
She went on to become a member of Rhythm Train, a local samba based drumming group, before completing her drum circle training.
As many as 18 residents have participated in their own drum circle, pounding away the infirmities and melancholies of old age, but this was a time to sit back and listen to someone else.
