doxacurium

doxacurium /dox·a·cu·ri·um/ (dok″sah-ku´re-um) a long-acting neuromuscular blocking agent used as the chloride salt as a skeletal muscle relaxant during surgery and endotracheal intubation.
doxacurium,
a nondepolarizing neuromuscular blocker.
indications This drug is used to facilitate endotracheal intubation and skeletal muscle relaxation during mechanical ventilation, surgery, or general anesthesia.
contraindications Known hypersensitivity to this drug prohibits its use. This drug must not be used in neonates.

a long-acting neuromuscular blocking agent used as the chloride salt as a skeletal muscle relaxant during surgery and endotracheal intubation.

Strangely, doxacurium is included in the muscle relaxant section and not with the other neuromuscular blocking drugs.
Several other relaxants, mivacurium, pipercuronium and doxacurium have been made available in recent years and the modern anaesthetist can select from a wide range of neuromuscular blocking agents.
