n.pr in India, M.D. degree awarded to an individual after completion of a graduate program in Ayurveda. To earn this degree, an individual must successfully complete a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery program, perform research, write a thesis based on the research subject, and pass a series of exams. In general, it takes nine or ten years after primary school for a practitioner to earn this degree. See Master of Ayurvedic Science.
