[dīnī′trōklôr′ōben′zēn]
a substance applied topically as a test for delayed hypersensitivity reactions. The compound has also been used as an immunotherapeutic agent to treat skin tumors.

dinitrochlorobenzene
a hapten whose application to the skin results in a contact hypersensitivity; abbreviated DNCB. Sometimes used to test for type IV or delayed type hypersensitivity reactions.
