dermatosparaxis

an inherited defect in collagen synthesis caused by a deficiency of procollagen peptidase. Results in fragility, hyperelasticity and laxity of the skin. Occurs in cattle, some breeds of sheep, and Himalayan cats. Called also Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, hyperelastosis cutis, cutaneous asthenia.
