A chronic disease of the skin marked by severe itching and the extensive eruption of vesicles and groups of papules. Also called Duhring's disease.

Dermatitis herpetiformis
A chronic very itchy skin disease with groups of red lesions that leave spots behind when they heal. It is sometimes associated with cancer of an internal organ.

Dermatitis herpetiformis is a highly itchy skin rash (sometimes mistaken for atopic dermatitis) associated with gluten-sensitive enteropathy (Hall 1987).
These two Anti-Gliadin kits are Enzyme Immunoassay (EIA) procedures for the quantitative detection of gliadin antibodies that can assist physicians in the diagnosis of certain gluten sensitive enteropathies such as celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis, and atopic dermatitis.
