dasatinib

dasatinib,
a miscellaneous antineoplastic.
indications This drug is used to treat chronic myelogenous leukemia, accelerated blast crisis, and chronic phase and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
contraindications Pregnancy and known hypersensitivity to this drug prohibit its use.
adverse effects Adverse effects of this drug include headache, dizziness, insomnia, neuropathy, asthenia, arrhythmias, chest pain, congestive heart failure, pericardial effusion, constipation, diarrhea, GI bleeding, mucositis, stomatitis, fluid retention, edema, increased or decreased weight, pain, arthralgia, myalgia, cough, dyspnea, pulmonary edema and hypertension, pneumonia, and urinary tract infection. Life-threatening side effects include central nervous system hemorrhage, vomiting, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and bleeding. Common side effects include nausea, anorexia, abdominal pain, rash, and pruritus.
