DDX10

A gene on chromosome 11q22-23 that encodes a putative ATP-dependent RNA helicase which contains a conserved Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD) motif. RNA helicases are implicated in various processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure, such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly.
