It does not actually contain any nicotine, instead containing Cytisine, which is commonly referred to as "False Tobacco".
The reviewers found only one trial of another nicotine agonist, cytisine, that met the reviews' inclusion criteria.
Every part of the tree is poisonous including the sweet-tasting seeds, which contain an alkaloid called cytisine, which is highly dangerous to children.
