Scientists still are not entirely sure how melamine could move from farm fields to formula, but have suggested "that milk from cattle exposed to cyromazine may contain melamine.
Byline: ANI Washington, June 4 (ANI): Scientists suspect that the insecticide cyromazine may be responsible for the presence of melamine, a toxic constituent of plastics and other materials, in infant formulas purchased from stores in Canada.
Cyromazine is the only pesticide up for re-registration this year, but we will monitor any changes to pest regulations including a potential revision of the Worker Protection Safety Standards.
