Cushing suture pattern
a fast, continuous, easy inverting suture pattern for making the external closure of an intestinal incision. Bites are taken parallel to the incision but the suture does not pass right through the wall into the lumen. The external part of each suture bite crosses the wound. It approximates the peritoneum.
