Cub Scouts from Grades 1 to 5 stood through hours of grueling competition to see their carefully crafted creations of balsa wood stream down the 30-foot aluminum track to the hoots and hollers of their fellow Scouts, family and friends.
Two Cub Scouts, Alice O'Connor and Maddy Denton of Thor Pack, were also given the award, the highest honour for Cub Scouts.
It is high time the Cub Scouts updated themselves and their Promise.
