Credé's maneuver
[kredā′z] Etymology: Karl S. Credé, German physician, 1819-1892 a technique for aiding the expulsion of the placenta. The uterus is pushed toward the birth canal by pressure exerted by the thumb of one hand on the posterior surface of the abdomen and the other hand on the anterior surface.
