Cowper's glands

A pair of pea-sized, yellow, multilobed glands lying in the SPHINCTER of the male urethra and discharging into it. Under the influence of sexual interest they secrete a clear mucinous lubricant to facilitate intercourse. They are also called the bulbo-urethral glands and are the male equivalent of the BARTHOLIN'S GLANDS. (William Cowper, 1666–1709, English surgeon).
