Coriaria
New Zealand plant genus of the plant family, Coriaraceae; all parts of the plant are poisonous and cause excitation, vomiting, convulsions, exhaustion and death. Tutin, the toxin in the plant, is passed to the meat of poisoned animals and to honey in the neighborhood of the plants. Includes C. angustissima, C. arborea, C. kingiana, C. lurida, C. plumosa, C. pottsiana, C. pteroides, C. sarmentosa. Called also tutu.
