While most patient isolates had 9-13 copies of IS6110 (median 11 copies, range 1-23), strains with a lower copy number (<6 bands) were more likely to be clustered. Further, the quantitative capability of the RTQ-PCR system was verified by a strong correlation between the threshold cycle number and the logarithmic-transformed cob copy number used in the amplification. The primary product offered by Gene Express is its StaRT-PCR patented, platform technology, providing standardized, quantitative, measurement of nucleic acid copy number, enabling multi-gene measurement of transcript abundance, and/or genomic DNA copy number. |
