Clonorchis [klo-nor´kis]
a genus of liver flukes. C. sinen´sis is the cause of clonorchiasis throughout eastern Asia from Vietnam to Korea.
Clonorchis a genus of liver flukes in the family Opisthorchiidae. Clonorchis sinensis (syn. Opisthorchis sinensis) found in bile ducts, sometimes pancreatic ducts and duodenum in dogs, cats, pigs, some small wild mammals and humans. Causes diarrhea, abdominal pain, jaundice and ascites in humans. Called also oriental or Chinese liver fluke. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
