A scheme for assessing a Trust's arrangements for minimising clinical risk for service users and staff. Under the scheme, a Trust pays "insurance" which might offset the costs of legal claims against the Trust.
The hospital will now be able to address initiatives such as the National Project for IT (NPfIT), Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) and Agenda for Change (KSF) with minimum effort and through a single system.
The NHS Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts hailed University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, which runs Walsgrave Hospital and Coventry and Warwick-shire Hospital in Coventry and the Hospital of St Cross in Rugby.
The women's hospital is only the third NHS trust in the country, and the first hospital in Liverpool, to achieve the top level of accreditation in the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) general standards and for the rigorous specialist maternity standard.
