Cladosporium

Cladosporium /Clad·o·spo·ri·um/ (-spor´e-um) a genus of imperfect fungi. C. carrio´nii is a cause of chromoblastomycosis; C. bantia´num causes brain abscesses and sometimes meningitis.

A genus of fungi commonly isolated in soil or plant residues including some species that cause abscesses of the brain or lungs or lesions on the skin.

Cladosporium [klad″o-spor´e-um]
a genus of imperfect fungi. C. herba´rum produces “black spot” on meat in cold storage at a temperature of −8° C. C. carrio´ni is an agent of chromoblastomycosis.
