| Indeed, scientific problems do exist in the registration of pesticides today, when chronic toxicity tests are conducted with the active ingredient alone--which is generally the case. There have been concerns over chronic toxicity with some of these active ingredients, and they are currently under review. Microtox toxicity was consistently eliminated from both effluents, whereas chronic toxicity to algae was reduced but not removed during treatment. |
