chromotherapy [krō′məther′əpē] a system of treating disease with colored lights chosen from specific regions of the spectrum. chromotherapy (krōˈ·m n in Ayurveda and other systems, the use of colors to promote harmony and healing based on the belief that certain colors are infused with healing energies (e.g., red is energizing; blue is calming).
