any one of the tangled masses of tiny blood vessels contained within the lateral, the third, and the fourth ventricles of the brain, responsible for producing cerebrospinal fluid.

choroid

the middle, vascular coat of the eye, between the sclera and the retina.

It contains an abundant supply of blood vessels and a large amount of brown pigment which serves to reduce reflection or diffusion of light when it falls on the retina. Adequate nutrition of the eye is dependent upon blood vessels in the choroid. See also tapetum, lamina cribrosa, lamina basilaris, vascular lamina.

infoldings of blood vessels of the pia mater covered by a thin coat of ependymal cells that form tufted projections into the third, fourth, and lateral ventricles of the brain; they secrete the cerebrospinal fluid.

coccygeal plexus

a nerve plexus formed by the ventral branches of the coccygeal and last sacral nerves.

coronary plexus

a venous plexus within the coronet of the hoof.

a nerve plexus near the gallbladder.
