Charcot-Bouchard aneurysm

Etymology: Jean M. Charcot, French neurologist, 1825-1893; Charles J. Bouchard, French physician, 1837-1886
a small, round dilation of a small artery in the cerebral cortex or basal ganglia. Charcot-Bouchard aneurysms often occur in individuals with very high blood pressure.
