Catch-22
A popular synonym for velo-cardio-facial syndrome, also known as 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, Shprintzen syndrome, and DiGeorge sequence, which is caused by the deletion of a small segment of the long arm of chromosome 22—22q11.2 deletion. It is one of the most common genetic disorders in humans—affecting ±1:3–4,000 persons—typically characterised by cleft palate, congenital heart defects, learning disabilities, and 180 other clinical findings, including maldevelopment of the head & neck region
