capnograph /cap·no·graph/ (-graf″) a system for monitoring the concentration of exhaled carbon dioxide.

Etymology: Gk, kapnos, smoke, graphein, to record
an instrument used in anesthesia, intensive care, and respiratory therapy to produce a capnogram, a tracing that shows the concentration of carbon dioxide in each exhaled breath. It is used to monitor the adequacy of mechanical ventilation. Also called capnogram.

The CyberStat System continuously monitors and simultaneously displays data on up to 32 hospital patients who can be connected to a host of medical monitors built by different manufacturers, for example, pulse oximeters, IV pumps, ventilators, capnographs and NIBP pumps.
Devices include ventilators, capnographs, infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, arterial blood gas and transcutaneous gas monitors, noninvasive blood pressure monitor and others.
Earlier this year, they engaged in a private label agreement that allows Medtronic Physio-Control to market Oridion's family of handheld Microstream capnographs.
