Primary endpoints Morbidity and mortality at 1 year
Conclusion At 1-year, patients treated with PTCA had the same risk of death, but required significantly more reinterventions and anti-anginals, and were more likely to have severe angina, especially women; although survival advantage with CABG was suggested, the difference was not statistically significant

In the CABRI study, which investigated both diabetic and non-diabetic patients, it has been found out that the mortality rate of the diabetic group was twice as much higher than in the non-diabetic group.
