CITED1

A gene on chromosome Xq13.1 that encodes a member of the CITED (CREB-binding protein/p300-interacting transactivator with Asp/Glu-rich C-terminal domain) family of proteins. CITED1 may function as a transcriptional coactivator and play a role in melanocyte pigmentation; it is only expressed in melanocytes and the testes.
