Additionally, many send letters (a voluntary exercise in Session 5 of the program) to their providers describing all they have gained from participating in the CDSM workshop.
Numerous presentations to various departments, including nursing, social service, mental health, medicine, and the specialty services helped gain initial support for the CDSM program within the large VA bureaucracy; however, the greatest challenge has been ongoing participant recruitment.

CDSM is now considering plans for expansion along the M4 corridor, but does not believe it has been held back by being located in Swansea.
