CD31

a type I transmembrane protein present on myeloid cells, platelets, endothelial cells, natural killer cells, monocytes, and subsets of CD4-positive T cells that acts as a cosignal transducer for macrophages, inducing respiratory burst; plays a key role in the transmigration of leukocytes through intercellular junctions of vascular endothelium and mediates calcium-dependent heterophilic aggregation; expressed in neoplastic endothelial cells.

Immunohistochemical (IHC) stains were positive for CD68, S-100 and negative for CD31, which were consistent with MSP (figures 1D, 2A, and 2B).
Hence, scarce data are available on the immunohistomorphology of microvascular ECs for CD34 and the expression of CEPCs for commonly used EC markers like CD31, CD34, CD45 and CD133 in the pancreas tissue in a diabetic rat, in comparison with that of the kidneys and liver.

Antibodies against factor VIII related antigen, CD31 and CD34 were positive in endothelial cells (Figures 10-13), and the mitotic index was very high (70%) (Figures 14 and 15).
The aim of this study was to determine if Arg supplementation to control (C), overfed (O), and underfed (U) ewes impacts 1) body weight (BW) and body condition score (BCS), 2) P4 serum concentration and content in the CL, 3) CD31 (an endothelial cell marker), Ki67 (a proliferating cell marker), endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS), and NO receptor soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) protein and/or mRNA expression in the CL, and 4) mRNA expression of selected angiogenic factors in CL during the estrous cycle.
Immunohistochemistry of the following panel was performed: podoplanin (D2-40 as antibody, commonly known as a marker of lymphatic endothelial cells), CD31 (known as a marker of pan-endothelial cells), CD68 (a marker of macrophages/ histiocytes), smooth muscle actin (SMA; a marker of smooth muscle differentiation), and WT1 and calretinin (common markers of mesothelial cells).
They identified these cells by looking for cell surface proteins called CD31 and CD146.
Tumors were immunohistochemically analyzed for proliferating cell nuclear antigen, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated nick end labeling, and CD31.
On immunohistochemical staining, tumour cells were positive with CD31 (Figure 1-4).
