a medium-sized, shorthaired breed of cats. Originally it was always a solid brown color with golden yellow eyes. There are now numerous variations in color, including champagne, blue and platinum. The breed is affected by primary endocardial fibroelastosis, meningoencephalocele and lethal midfacial malformations.
