bupropion

bupropion /bu·pro·pi·on/ (bu-pro´pe-on) a monocyclic compound structurally similar to amphetamine, used as the hydrochloride salt as an antidepressant and as an aid in smoking cessation.
Bupropion
An antidepressant medication given to smokers for nicotine withdrawal symptoms. It is sold under the trade name Zyban.

a heterocyclic mood-elevating drug used to treat some types of depression (trademark: Wellbutrin) and also to promote smoking cessation (trademark: Zyban).

bupropion [bu-pro´pe-on]

The participants were randomly assigned to one of six treatment groups: nicotine lozenge alone, nicotine patch alone, bupropion alone, patch plus nicotine lozenge, bupropion plus nicotine lozenge or placebo.
His go-to combinations are nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) plus bupropion (Zyban), or high-dose NRT using a nicotine patch plus nicotine gum or lozenges.
INTRODUCTION This is a case of rhabdomyolysis associated with a therapeutic dose of bupropion sustained release (SR), used as a smoking cessation adjunct.
