transverse-plane and rotational fifth-ray deformity, characterized by fifth metatarsal abduction, hypertrophy of lateral aspect of fifth metatarsal head, adduction and varus rotation (supination) of fifth toe at fifth metatarsophalangeal joint; associated with severe hallux abductovalgus (contributes to 'diamond-shaped' forefoot); characterized by fifth metatarsophalangeal joint lateral bursa/bursitis and/or heloma molle at depth of 4/5 interdigital space
