An oral grasp reflex, which is similar to the hand grasp reflex in which a patient automatically grasps at an object placed in his/her hand. It can be tested by placing a tongue depressor between the front teeth and lightly touching the tongue. The oral grasp reflex is increased in patients with dementia and is named for the tenacious bite of bulldogs
