bufadienolide
group of toxic cardiac glycosides found mainly in members of Crassulaceae family, e.g. Cotyledon, Tylecodon, Bryophyllum spp. Found also in skin and skin glands of toads, e.g. Bufo marinus. Those in Cotyledon and Tylecodon are cumulative and produce krimpsiekte (cotyledonosis).
