The transparent, nearly structureless inner layer of the choroid in contact with the pigmented layer of the retina.

Bruch membrane

A glassy membrane of the uvea of the eye, lying between the choroid membrane and the pigmented epithelium of the retina. Synonym: lamina basalis choroideae; lamina vitrea; vitreous lamella
