Biozzi Mice

A line of mice which were bred to have very high or low antibody responsiveness to various antigens, related to quantitative trait loci on chromosome 8. Biozzi mice are highly susceptible to induced diseases such as autoimmune encephalomyelitis, autoimmune neuritis, autoimmune uveitis, as well as virus-induced demyelination and are thus a key model for studying human inflammatory neurological diseases
