Etymology: Gk, histos + gramma, record
(in research) a graph showing the values of one or more variables plotted against time or against frequency of occurrence. A graph of a patient's temperature, pulse, and respiration is an example of a histogram.

King says one of pilot program's components takes bin size into account, as the suspicion is that aluminum is getting edged out of the bins by larger recyclables.
