biliary fistula

biliary fistula,
an abnormal passage from the gallbladder, a bile duct, or the liver to an internal organ or the surface of the body. Biliary fistulae into the duodenum may complicate cholelithiasis; a gallstone may become impacted, usually in the ileocecal valve, and cause intestinal obstruction.
