Origin, long head from supraglenoidal tuberosity of scapula, short head from coracoid process; insertion, tuberosity of radius; action, flexes and supinates forearm (it is the primary supinator of the forearm); nerve supply, musculocutaneous.
Synonym(s): musculus biceps brachii [TA] .

biceps brachii muscle

Arm muscle. Origin: supraglenoid tubercle, coracoid process of scapula. Insertion: tuberosity of radius, posterior border of ulna (via bicipital aponeurosis). Nerve: musculocutaneous (C5-C6). Action: flexes forearm, supinates hand.
