Cynodon
genus of grasses in the Poaceae family; they may contain cyanogenetic glycosides, and acute cyanide poisoning (geilsiekte) and goiter have been attributed to them. All of the grasses are very widespread and enjoy good reputations as pasture grass. Includes C. aethiopicus (Nkuru grass), C. dactylon (couch grass, Bermuda grass), C. incompletus (blue couch), C. nlemfuensis (C. plectostachyus, Naivasha stargrass).

Cynodon dactylon + Balansia epichloe
couch grass infested by the fungus causes incoordination.
