In the summer, the lodge offers a Birds, Bears and Belugas program, which gives guests the opportunity to spot the rare Ross's gull from Siberia, observe snowy owls and ptarmigans, see polar bears and go swimming with beluga whales. Zinc, cadmium, mercury and selenium in minke whales, belugas and narwhals from west Greenland. As are many whale populations, belugas in this area are declining, despite regulations to protect them. |
